Five Thousand Year Old Tombs, St. Patrick, Weddings & Farewells

I ask you, can it get any greener than this?

Cousin (we claim) Noel Reid with Elder Blick in front of Legananny Dolman (ancient portal tomb). How did they stack these incredibly heavy rock slabs like this 5,000 years ago? Boggles my wee brain!

We're in the wedding business!
Wedding Sampler.

Birdcage/Wedding Card Holder accessorized by. . . me!

President and Sister Griffiths - our mission president, who head home in TWO weeks!

Padhraigh (Irish name, pronounced Por ig) and Jenny. She's one of our Belfast YSA's! He's from Dublin.

We’re shortly approaching the longest day of the year where it doesn’t get completely dark until about 11:30 p.m. and it is dawn before 3:30 a.m. so that can be a bit interesting. The birds can be pretty obnoxious in the wee hours of the morning.  It’s most definitely better than the long dark days in the middle of winter!

Elder Blick and I have started teaching a combination Book of Mormon and Preach My Gospel 12 week summer institute course.  It’s a bunch of information to try to figure out what is most important to teach cause it’s ALL important!

One of my most favourite things to do continues to be going on joint teaches with the sisters.  This past week we went  to see Godfrey.  He’s been a member of the Church for three years.  He was a Methodist minister for forty years!  I want to go back and visit with him again and hear more of his story about coming in to the church.

We have another wedding to attend this week.  The two that are getting married came to the Centre for the last time as singles this past week.  One by one they are going away, but that’s what it’s all about - marriage, off on missions and away to university . . .  but it’s still very hard to see them go.  :(

Well, that’s about it from our part of the world!

Hey, just a reminder, while we’re gone don’t be having too much fun without us!

All the best,

Sister Blick
