We had the wonderful opportunity of being invited along with the bishops and stake presidency and their wives to the Preston England Temple again this year.
We just passed through the most uneventful month of our mission so far, as far as photos are concerned. January was only a 22-photo month. So, not a whole lot happening with the camera, compared to other months. Mostly because we just finished having our shortest, rainiest days of the year. At any rate, things are picking up again. We saw the sun out and thought we would take advantage of it on a Saturday when nothing else was going on and got out for a few photos opps.
This is a Catholic church right down the road from our flat, Holy Rosary Parish. We could see bits of it above the brick fence surrounding it and it looked really amazing, so we finally ventured into the car park and took some photos. Just can’t get enough of beautiful architecture over here. This one is fairly new. Constructed 1896-98.
I have been intrigued with the hearse over here. (Morbid, I know) ;-) Think they are so interesting. Over here the windows are really big and low. (The better to see in - or perhaps out.)
We drove up a hill above Campbell College hoping to get a shot of it, but it was too hazy, so we drove back down and parked the car in a neighborhood park and walked over to the entrance to get a photo of the entrance sign. To our surprise the gate was open (It’s NEVER open) so we just walked on in expecting at any minute to be told by security that we needed to leave the premises and NOW. It’s a public school (opposite from the states where it would be called a private school) and was where C.S. Lewis went to college (or what we call in the States, high school). It is a beautiful campus founded in 1894. It was initially a boarding school for all who attended. Today only 10% are boarders. Note the original Hogwarts. ;)
We’re trying not to think about it, but we really are watching the days and weeks fly by. It’s quite hard to believe that we have less than 2 months left!
Love and miss you, but I’m still...

Those hearse are cool! All families with small children should own one. (Just so the children can see out those big windows of course!) That barn has my favorite scripture of all time on it!
